Prince of Sorrow
The shadows flicker their sorrow all upon the walls
While the candles burn too bright melting the air
And the silence thunders in my so tender ears
From the shadows of sorrow comes a man
And from the flame his soul does rise
His care is ripped from the seams of silence
Wrapping the darkness around me
He smothers the heat of my anguish
And gives voice to my silent screams
My Prince of sorrow and darkness holds me tight
Burning me clean and well with his love
As his care and concern quiets my dying heart
The shadow on my soul lifts
And the flaming pain subsides
My screaming spirit is hushed
